Crazy Crazy week this week! So hot and so much work.
We actually had a brown out the other night right before we were going to
go to bed. So that was no fun. It was the hottest day and our fans couldn’t
work so there was no way we could sleep. So we just laid there with our
hand fans trying to relax. Thankfully it only lasted like 30 minutes.
It’s killer hot here. I think it’s just trying to get it all in
before rainy season. My hair is always in a ponytail. One day we went to Las
Pinas for a baptism interview for one of our investigators and I decided to
straighten my hair to look all fancy and yeah that was awful.
No worries though. It will soon be rainy season and we
will have to worry about being dry and not being hot.
We have a baptism scheduled for this week though so that’s
super awesome. And I have exchanges and an interview so I hope I make it
through. I only have 3 more weeks left in training. I really need
to start taking language study seriously so I’m prepared in case I get a non-Pilipino
companion!
So super super sorry this is so short. Next week I’ll
write a super duper long one I promise! Just ask mom and dad about what I
talked to them about haha. Love you lots!
A little insert from our Skype conversation with her last
night. Due to her time on Skype, she was
limited with the amount of time she had to write her email.
As you can see Taylar is doing AWESOME. We had a chance to visit with her on Sunday
night for a little while and really enjoyed every minute we had with her. She said she has like 15 families that she is
working with and has a baptism lined up every Saturday for the next 3
weeks. She has really started to love
her mission and enjoys working with the Philippine people. She did say that she apologizes for not
writing, but she has been very busy, but she says, PLEASE keep writing to
her. She loves it whenever she gets a
letter from the US. We love to get her
letters but she has been so busy that we don’t get very many either. It is awesome that she is being such an obedient
Missionary and keeping so busy. From our
conversation with her last night I think if they are not teaching, they are
tracking so she has almost zero free time.
This helps the time fly by for her.
Please keep up the letters and emails to her, she loves and
appreciates every single one of them!!
